Tips on how to dress slimmer
Monday, February 22nd, 2010We often ask the question how do we look slimmer on the hips, arms, tummy, thighs and the list goes on and on. Here are some overall suggestion on how to dress slimmer.
- Go Monochromatic. Dressing top-to-toe in a similar color can make you appear taller and slimmer. There’s no need to be too exact in color-matching, as long as they’re in the same color family.
- Dark Pieces. Dark colors peel away kilos. But don’t just stick to black: Other variants like brown and navy work just as well too.
- Thin Vertical or Diagonal Stripes. Thinner stripes will make you appear more petite. Stay away horizontal stripes.
- Heels. with heels make you appear taller, arch your back, thrust your chest and tighten your calves. Great posture, better legs. Need we say more?
- Not Too Tight. You can still wear fitting styles but make sure that they are flowy and skim nicely on your body to accentuate your curves. Clothes that cling too tightly will showcase your flaws instead.
- Tummy Control. Almost everyone wears those elastic tummy-control panties when they’re attending formal parties in a slinky number.

A lot of people make the mistake of, i like this design or this dress, this cut but it does not flatter their body. Forcing yourself into it does not make you look any better. If part of a dress feels tight or it does not feel right, it probably ain’t right for you. Take a breather and let it go. There are still plenty of fishes in the sea
Knowing how to dress and what flatter your body can take a few pounds off.
Look for something that accentuate your curves and cover problem areas. Ex: If you have heavy thighs don’t wear super skinny jeans it will only make your thighs look bigger. Opt for a straight or boot cut that gives a relax style so it does not hug your thighs.
To cover flabby arms, don’t wear tight t shirts or tops that hugs your arms. It looks like they can’t breath. Sometimes even when you don’t cover it up it may just look slimmer like with a cut in tank top.
Don’t wear pants or skirts that’s too tight on the hips when your flesh is hanging out. If that doesn’t tell you something then you are just cheating yourself o_0
Don’t wear clothes that’s too big for you. It actually makes you look bigger than you are. Go for something with some waist line and curves to your body. Frumpy clothes will just make you look like your grandma, which i don’t think you’ll ever want to go there.
Looking good doesn’t mean you have to be super skinny. Look at American’s Next Top Model winner, Whitney a plus size model.
Don’t always stick with the same style, explore the variety that you have with your body
